Vintage Wahl Eversharp Skyline fountain pen that was made in the
USA in the late 1940s. This pen is unused and still has the original
price band on the barrel. I removed the old bladder but did not install
a new one, so the pen is not working. This is the shorter model Skyline
and has the clip that does not go over the top of the derby.

This is a beautiful example of a pearl and black Greek key Wahl. There
is a tiny bit of discoloration just under the upper cap band, but
overall it has almost perfect color. There are 2 cracks in the cap lip.
There is a fine age crack in the cap and also one in the barrel. I don't
repair cracks and I've never sold a pen with a repaired crack [I always
sold them to other dealers who had them repaired]. There aren't many of
these pens around with color this good and you can always have the
cracks repaired. It is a smooth writer. I bought this pen right out of
the original owners house. He was a coal miner and I don't think he used
this pen much. Coal miners didn't do a lot of writing. For him, this
pen would have been a weeks pay when it was new. |

This is a near mint Vintage
fountain pen
set that saw little use. It writes really smooth with
a fine nib. The pencil does work. The pointer of the pencil has the usual
tarnish. The original guarantee is in the box with the purchase date of
1942. There is also a guarantee paper for the pencil. There is also
directions for the pen. The final paper is the gift card from the people
who bought this set as a gift. I guess the owner was a singer, maybe in
the USO. It says that they would no longer be singing "Any Bonds Today"
and were moving on to being an accountant for RCA. It is signed: "Your
Unit" and has all of their signatures on the reverse side [seems to be all
women]. |

This is a nice clean example of an early gold filled Wahl pen. This pen
was probably leftover parts from the Boston Fountain Pen Co. The clip has
no company mark, just the 14K 1/10 that signifies that it is gold filled.

This is a mint Ventura fountain penthat has never been inked. This is one of the later
Ventura pens with a small nib and a specially made section and feed to fit
it to the pen. It was just a way for Eversharp to cut expenses at a time
when they were close to bankruptcy. It is very difficult to find these end
of the line Ventura pens with the small nib. These pens with the gold
plated or gold washed caps are very hard to find in nice condition. The
bladder seems good, but I can't guarantee a 50 year old bladder. I did not
test this pen. As with all unused fountain pens it is not returnable if you put ink
in it. |
