Vintage Bulova salemans sample wristwatch movement from the early
1950s. It is their 23 jewel USA made automatic with hand indicated date
and a day window. The movement is skeletonized.
I know there are plenty of skeletonized movements around that were not
done at the factory, but this watch has the factory clear dials that
offer real proof of it's origin.
The main dial and the date wheel are both made of a clear plastic or
celluloid. The dial is marked Bulova 23 jewels six adjustments and has
the days of the month marked around the outer edge.
It also has a black outline that would be the "window" in a metal dial.
It has a hole for the seconds hand.
The plastic day wheel is underneath and has the days of the week marked
on it.
It does have the date indicator hand.
The movement is housed in a large piece of Lucite. There is a pusher in
the Lucite to change the date. It has a Bulova marked crown and does
work. The stem and crown to set the watch are missing.
You will have to use a stem and an extender to put this back to
original.
The balance swings freely and I think the movement will run if you give
it a servicing.

International Schaffhausen men's wrist watch movement from the
1930s. It measures 27mm wide or 12 ligne. I believe it is a calibre 83,
but I'm not sure. It comes with a slip on dial which is marked JE
Caldwell & Co. Caldwell was a high end jeweler who used International
and Patek movements in his watches. The movement is marked International
on the front and back. It looks to be almost complete, but I think the
set bridge is missing. The staff is broken, but it will run for a few
seconds in the dial up position. This is a good clean movement and I
think it just needs a staff to get it running.

Vintage Universal Watch Company men's wristwatch movement. This movement is
sold as NOT running. Someone has robbed the balance jewels out of the
balance bridge. The movement actually does run very well if you lay it
flat, even with the jewels missing.
It will wind and set, but it does hang up when you try and push the
crown in. It may just need a new stem.

This is a very hard to find early Zodiac movement. I had always intended
to case it one day, but never found the time. I don't think the cases
for these early Zodiacs were signed.

Vintage
Tissot
watch movement that was made in the early 1970s for their line of clear plastic
watches. They were called the Idea 2001 line and this movement is marked Astrolon Agon Watch Co 1 jewel. The thinking behind these plastic watches
was that the plastic plates would act as jewels and the pivot holes would
not wear. The movement appears complete, the balance wheel swings, but the
fork isn't moving, it may be overbanked. The movement is wound up all the
way but it does seem like it would wind, the wheels are engaging. When you
pull the crown out to the set position, it will not set. It looks like one
of the wheels is missing a few teeth. The crown has the Tissot emblem on
it and it does appear to be the original crown. I don't know where the
case went, it probably got thrown out years ago.

Vintage 3
register Kelbert watch chronograph movement. It does have
water damage. I am unsure of the caliber and I am guessing it is Valjoux,
I couldn't match it up in any of my books. It is marked Kelbert. The
balance swings and you may be able to salvage this movement, but I am
guessing it is probably only good for parts. It seems complete, except
some of the springs have broken off. I did not clean this movement in any
way. I thought about putting it in the ultrasonic, but I decided to just
list it as found.
