another one. It does not run, but if you give it a good shake, it will
run for a few seconds. Good staff, the balance swings easily. It

This is a nice vintage Curvex watch in original condition. The dial is
original and has a nice rose finish. The case is excellent and is rose
gold filled. The watch is keeping excellent time and was just serviced.
I just installed a new rose gold filled crown. The crystal is new. The
outer box has a drawing of Time Hill on it. The inner box is a Bakelite
hinged box. Both boxes are marked Curvex. The instruction manual is
dated 1941. This watch came from a local estate and was used, but it is
in excellent condition. |

Vintage
Gruen Precision wristwatch that has an
original dial and is in excellent condition.
It has a rose colored gold filled case, gold filled case and back!
This is a classic Gruen from the 1940s. The movement is a
calibre 405, 17 jewel windup. It even has a new rose
crown. There is some wear on the case, it is on the front between the
lugs and it amounts to the thin line on the upper and lower edges of the
case. This is common from wearing a watch under a suit for years.
The lugs on this case are very unusual. It has a gold filled case that
was made by the Star Watch Case Co. The lugs are not solid. The way the
case was made is that the lugs were actually straight strips that were
"rolled" up to make lugs. This lugs are easily bent and
deformed and they are not perfectly lined up on this watch. There is
some wear on top of them also. Overall I would rate this watch a 7.5,
but it is a sweet looking rose watch.
