P802

Victorian pencil  that was made in the USA in the 1890s. It has the same snail pattern that was found on many of the early eyedropper fill overlay fountain pens of the late 1800s and early 1900s. The length is also very similar, so I am guessing that this may have been an early companion piece for an overlay pen.  It is in excellent condition.

This is a great Victorian pencil with a nice snail pattern overlay.  It is not signed gold, but I tested it and it is either solid gold or a very heavy gold filled.  I am selling it as gold filled, but it may be solid gold.  Either way, this is a great pencil.

Vintage Sterling push / pull or magic pencil that was made in Germany and probably dates to the 1800s. It is 2 3/8" long when it is in the retracted position. When you pull on the one end, it extends to 4 9/16" long. The pencil mechanism functions properly.
The pencil has "Atlantic City" enameled on it. It is obviously a souvenir from the Victorian age. Not mint, but it is in excellent condition.

This is a fantastic vintage dip pen.  It is shaped like a gun. The dip pen is in the wooden grip of the gun. The pencil is the barrel. Best of all, you open the chamber of the gun and inside is a small traveling inkwell in the shape of a bullet.
The gun measures 6 3/4" from the tip of the octagon barrel to the end of the grip where the lanyard is. Most of the gun is nickel plated brass and the grip is wood. The dip pen has a rough edge where you install the nib and I think it has been shortened a little. A lot of the old dip holder were shortened after the ink corroded the end. The pencil screws into the butt and it is spring loaded. When you pull the trigger, the pencil pops out of the end of the barrel. To get at the inkwell, you have to unscrew the pencil and open the chamber. The bullet shaped inkwell slides apart and inside it has a screw on lid. There is a small glass bottle inside the metal shell. I could not find a mark for country of origin, but I will guess it is Germany or England.
I have not seen another one just like this and I would guess that the bullet shaped inkwell would be missing when you did find one.

Vintage figural dip pen and pencil combo that is shaped like an umbrella. It was made in Germany and measures 8 1/4" long. The handle was made from a tree branch. The dip nib is unmarked and has a copper colored finish. The tip of the umbrella pulls out and it is the pencil. You can reverse it and put it back into the case and use the whole umbrella for a pencil. I don't think the dip pen was ever used. The tag on the pen is marked: Phil Weber Jr The Office Mendota Ill. Nice condition.  It was made around 1900-1910.   See This Listing Here

Sterling silver Cross ladies ring top pencil. this pencil would have been worn on a chain or sometimes used as a watch fob.  It takes medium .9mm lead.  It is probably from the 1950s and it works properly. There is 2 or 3 small dings but overall it is in very good [used] condition. It measures 3 5/16" long.  Made in the USA.
