This is a nice example of a vintage Father Time pocket watch. It has
just been cleaned and oiled and is keeping excellent time. Really nice
balance motion. The case has been converted into a display case. The
back crystal is glass. The bezel screws off easily and the movement
swings out and back in with no binding. |

Lot
of 6 vintage windup pocket watches.
1. Elgin 12 size, 15 jewel. Runs great but won't set. Might be a
stem/sleeve set problem. Worn gold filled case.
2. Columbia 6 size hunting case. 7 jewels. Runs great but no
hands. No crystal. Case woks well but appears to be just brass. Has an
Indian head mark on the case, Chief No Gold ?.
3. Russian 12 size hunter. Looks like 17 jewels. Good staff, doesn't
run unless you apply power to the crown, then it runs good.
4. No name small Hong Kong watch. 1 jewel wristwatch movement. Runs for
15 seconds.
5. Spirit of 76 Swiss 17 jewel pocket watch. Liberty bell on case. Runs
for a few minutes and quits. Wristwatch movement.
6. Nail set pocket watch marked L'Alouette. Good staff, no stem/crown.
Missing the nail set button. Worn case. 37mm movement.

is a very rare piece and even rarer to find in the original box. The box
is missing a flat insert that held the watch in place, but the

This is an unusual Seth Thomas. They did not mark the movement or
the dial except for an eagle on the movement. I guarantee it to be a
Seth Thomas.
The bezel and the back thread on and off smoothly. No cross threading or
other problems. There is some wear on the milling, but since the case
is solid nickel, there is no brassing. |
