This is a great looking pen set with beautiful color. Nice
smooth writer.
This set has the fluted barrels. The trim is not perfect, but
almost every one of these pens with this gold washed trim
has completely worn trim. The end of the barrel unscrews on this
pen and there is a hole at the end of the barrel for the button
filler that was also used on these pens. The pencil has the
removable lead cartridge that is usually found on Vacumatic
pencils of the 30s, but rarely on Parkette pencils. They are
both dated 1939 and come in the original box. The box has some
writing under the lid including the original owners name Rita
Tebbetts of West Peru Maine. |

This is a great example of a vintage Parker VP fountain pen.
These pens were designed to be "non blotting" like the Sheaffer
Snorkle. You pull the filler unit straight back and fill the
unit with ink. You then replace the filler into the pen and you
are ready to write. The nib is a nice smooth writing broad nib
with the slant for right handed writers. Great writing pen.
Beautiful pen. |

overlay on the barrel. It is from the 1960s and it has the
Prudential Insurance logo [rock of Gibraltar] filigreed into the
overlay. This sterling overlay process was called silver deposit
and was used to create fancy overlays at a low cost. It works
perfectly mechanically and is in good used condition. Not mint.
