Springfield
Mass. This was a high quality pen company that may have been the first to
use celluloid for their pens. Their early celluloid was not aged or not aged
correctly, so many of their early pens are crystallized or badly discolored
today. They did use some wild colors and a lot of the colors were unique to
their pens. They made some ladies pens with threads on the
end of the barrel to post the cap. They made squeeze fillers that required you
to pull
the barrel back to gain access to the filler. Most were lever fillers. The
company seemed to go bankrupt and then come back in different forms. One of
the later companies was called LeBoeuf Pilgrim. They are also known
for selling lots of their stock, probably too much.
