Baff Manufacturing
26-30-32 Argyle Place
North Arlington New Jersey

Baff Mfg was a company that seemed to concentrate on desk items. They sold dip pens, dip pens sets , complete desk sets, letter openers and they did have a line of fountain pens. I don't think they sold many fountain pens, I'm not sure if I have ever had one. The dip pens and desk mounts were often very stylish and made from brightly colored catalin [bakelite].  The use of catalin seems to be their only claim to fame. Collectors like their dip pens and bases, even if they aren't pen collectors. The odd thing about Baff, was that they were selling dip pens decades after fountain pens had almost completely extinguished the high end dip pen market. They probably were the "king" of fancy dip pens in the 30s and 40s.
