P887

Parker fountain pen desk base that was made in the USA in the 1920s.  It is bronze or copper. It measures 4" wide. It is in beautiful condition with the original finish. The mount is for a Lady Duofold size desk pen, a depression size pen or a lucky curve pen. It is too narrow for a Duofold Jr. pen. There is no pen included, just the base. The pen holder [vase] is marked Parker, the base is not marked. $185.00

Good Service fountain pen that was made by Parker in the USA in the 1930s. It is just like a fluted  Parkette pen from the 30s. The nib even has the Parker date code for 1937.  It is a lever fill  pen and it has been serviced and it is a good writer.

Imprint:   Good Service Pen Co Chicago
Imprint location:
barrel
Imprint condition: Good
Filling system:
lever fill

This is not a great writer. The nib has a crack and some dents, so it is never going to be a great writer with the original nib. I could have replaced the nib with a warranted nib, but it is very important to have the original nib in this pen. The nib has the Parker date code and it is another sign that this pen was made by Parker. This pen was made for Good Service by Parker. It is identical to a Parkette, except for the markings.

This is a great looking pen set with beautiful color. Nice smooth writer. This is a large size for this model.  This is a hard pen to find with nice color. The cap band on these pencils is actually the flange of the pencil mechanism. It is the only part that was gold plated instead of filled and of course it is always worn. The cap band on the pen is nice [gold filled].

Parker 45 Coronet fountain pen that was made in the USA in the 1960s. This is from a rare line of 45s that had anodized aluminum caps and barrels. As I remember the red pen is the hardest to find because they had technical problems when making them.

Parker Parkette fountain pen and pencil set from the 1930s. It is lever fill, which is rare in Parker pens. The plastic is burgundy and black marbled plastic just like the Duofold streamlined pens. The set is in good used condition. They are both missing one of the 2 bands that were up near the top of their caps. The other band is also loose on the pen. There are some chew marks up near the top. The pen has not been serviced. It has a good 14K Parkette nib. There is trim wear. Not a mint set. Just a hard to find set in good condition. This pen is notorious for having a missing clip. $60.00
P651 Vintage Parker Quink ink bottle from the 1940s. It is a quart bottle and stands 10 1/2" tall. It is empty. The label is perfect and it has the correct lid. This is a very cool shaped bottle. $65.00

Parker Parkette Deluxe fountain pen that was made in the USA in the 1930s.  This pen is in great condition but not mint.  there is s hairline crack in the nib below the vent hole. It does not spread open when you write with the pen.

Maker: Parker
Model: Parkette Deluxe
Color:  black
Year:  1930s
Country of Origin:  USA
Cap Material:  plastic
Barrel Material:  plastic
Cap Style:  screw on
Trim Material:
nickel plated
Length with cap on:  4 13/16"
Nib Marking:
Parkette Deluxe
Nib Material:  14K Gold
Nib Flexibility: semi-flex
Nib Width (tip):   medium
Working Condition: serviced and writing.
Scratches or Cracks: none
Engravings:  none
Plate wear:  there is a little plate wear on the lower barrel band and a tiny bit of wear on the lever
Imprint: Parkette Deluxe
Imprint Location: barrel
Imprint Condition: near mint
Filling System: lever fill

This is a nice example of a classic fluted Parkette. The trim shows a little wear, but most of the Parkettes have terrible trim and they often have loose cap bands, so actually this pen is outstanding in comparison.
