This is a great example of Eagle in a really off-beat color. It is made
from the same tubes that were used by Moore in the 30s. the barrel has a
slight waviness, but it is minor and hard to notice. Usually this style
of clip is marked Eagle, this one was made with no markings. This pen is
unused and the bladder is still soft. I would not recommend using a pen
with a 70 year old bladder. |

Excellent writing pen with a smooth nib. Outstanding look with the jade

the seam where it was wrapped and bonded. There is some ink stains inside
the cap. |

Autofiller oversize fountain pen that was made in the USA sometime
between 1910 and 1915. It is black chased hard rubber and it is in near
mint condition. The one flaw it has is that the iridium is missing from
the nib. Schaaf was the original maker of Autofiller pens, but the company
name was eventually changed to Autofiller. This has the later filler
system, you just unscrew the barrel end cap 3 turns [earlier versions have
a rod sticking out of the barrel to fill it]. It is a twist fill pen
and it has been serviced and it is a good writer.

This is a really nice smooth writer and it is not oxidized. Remember the
nib has no iridium but the pen writes great anyway. This is a very hard
pen to find in any condition, this one wasn't used much at all. |

Edward Todd 14K solid gold overlay fountain pen
that was made in the USA in 1920s. It has vertical lines as a pattern.
There are some dents, so this is not a mint pen.
Maker: Edward Todd
Year: 1920s
Country of Origin: USA
Cap Material:
14K gold
Barrel Material:
14K gold
Pattern: Sheraton [lined]
Cap Style: screw on
Trim Material: gold
Length with cap on: 5"
Nib Marking:
Edward Todd & Co New York 3
Nib Material:
14K Gold
Nib Flexibility: full flex
Nib Width (tip):
falls between a medium and a broad, but closer to broad
Working Condition: It has just
been serviced
Scratches or Cracks: some small dings
Engravings: initials JJF on barrel
Filling System: Lever Filler
This is a good example of a solid gold fountain pen from the 1920s. It
has some small dings, so it is not a mint pen. The nib is very odd, looks
like it is either custom or reworked, but either way it is a nice smooth
nib. The pen is not marked Todd, but I have had a few Todd overlays in the
past and none of them were ever marked. It is marked 14K and it tests at
14K gold. The clip is a sure sign that it is a Todd pen. |

Vintage safety
style fountain pen with a sterling silver overlay. While most
safety pens were made by Waterman, this one is unmarked and I doubt if
it is a Waterman. It measures 4 7/16" long. It is a thick pen and
has a barrel diameter of 1/2". The mechanism functions properly,
but the pen has no nib. The feed comes out & and goes back when you
turn the knob on the end of the barrel. The pen is unmarked except for
the number 900 on the barrel [silver content mark]. There is one ding in
the side of the cap, otherwise the pen is in excellent condition. Even
unmarked, it is a really nice looking vintage sterling pen.

Triad fountain pen barrel that was made in the USA
in the 1930s. The color is great on this barrel. The imprint is like new.
The barrel threads are excellent. It is missing the blind cap on the
bottom, but the white spacer is still there. There are no problems with
this barrel. It is an outstanding barrel in every way. 3" long not
including the section. The pressure bar is sticking out of the bottom of
the barrel a tiny bit. If you have a nice cap, this is what you have
been waiting for. |
