This is a great example of a crappy fountain pen. If you ever look in
the old catalogues and see the really cheap fountain pen that was
offered as an alternative to the name brand pens, this is that pen. It
is interesting for what it is, but don't expect much. It is actually in
good condition, but it wasn't too great to begin with. |

This is a nice writing LeBoeuf desk pen. There is no base. Smooth
writer with a nice medium nib. It has nice color but there are 2 dark
bands on the pen, The discoloration looks far worst in the photos that it
appears when you have the pen in front of you. The photo lights really
exaggerate the dark spots on the pen. Again, please remember that there is
no base. |

Check protector made in the USA in 1940s. You run it over checks or
documents after they have been filled out and it leaves a pattern of small
lines preventing alteration. It has a ink refill that resembles a Sheaffer
or Wahl unit for the 40s. It has a brush on the end that runs over the
underside of the check protector wheel.

Nice writing pen with a smooth nib. It is in very good condition, but it
does have those tiny cracks where the clip goes into the cap. With red
hard rubber pens, you almost have to expect some cracks. The black end cap
on the barrel is threaded in and you can unscrew it if you want to do so.

moves, but I'm sure it needs to be serviced. Very unusual color. |

Edward Todd 14K solid gold overlay fountain pen
that was made in the USA in 1920s. It has vertical lines as a pattern.
There are some dents, so this is not a mint pen.
Maker: Edward Todd
Year: 1920s
Country of Origin: USA
Cap Material:
14K gold
Barrel Material:
14K gold
Pattern: Sheraton [lined]
Cap Style: screw on
Trim Material: gold
Length with cap on: 5"
Nib Marking:
Edward Todd & Co New York 3
Nib Material:
14K Gold
Nib Flexibility: full flex
Nib Width (tip):
falls between a medium and a broad, but closer to broad
Working Condition: It has just
been serviced
Scratches or Cracks: some small dings
Engravings: initials JJF on barrel
Filling System: Lever Filler
This is a good example of a solid gold fountain pen from the 1920s. It
has some small dings, so it is not a mint pen. The nib is very odd, looks
like it is either custom or reworked, but either way it is a nice smooth
nib. The pen is not marked Todd, but I have had a few Todd overlays in the
past and none of them were ever marked. It is marked 14K and it tests at
14K gold. The clip is a sure sign that it is a Todd pen. |

Vintage safety
style fountain pen with a sterling silver overlay. While most
safety pens were made by Waterman, this one is unmarked and I doubt if
it is a Waterman. It measures 4 7/16" long. It is a thick pen and
has a barrel diameter of 1/2". The mechanism functions properly,
but the pen has no nib. The feed comes out & and goes back when you
turn the knob on the end of the barrel. The pen is unmarked except for
the number 900 on the barrel [silver content mark]. There is one ding in
the side of the cap, otherwise the pen is in excellent condition. Even
unmarked, it is a really nice looking vintage sterling pen.

Triad fountain pen barrel that was made in the USA
in the 1930s. The color is great on this barrel. The imprint is like new.
The barrel threads are excellent. It is missing the blind cap on the
bottom, but the white spacer is still there. There are no problems with
this barrel. It is an outstanding barrel in every way. 3" long not
including the section. The pressure bar is sticking out of the bottom of
the barrel a tiny bit. If you have a nice cap, this is what you have
been waiting for. |
