P882

Esterbrook fountain pen that was made in Mexico in the 1950s. It has the icicle pattern, which is straight vertical lines without the pearlish finish.   The pen is near mint.  Esterbrook had a manufacturing plant in Mexico, but these pens seldom turn up today.

A near mint pen. It is hard to find Mexican made Esterbrooks and finding one that is in the icicle pattern has to be even less common. It is a smooth writer.  The imprint is better than the photo, the letters that you can't see in the word Mexico are there, they are just lighter than the rest and have no color in them.

A great example of an aerometric Esterbrook set in a great color. The box is a store display model, the lid bends in half and the set is then up and on an angle for good store display.  The instructions are in the box and state that this is their "Classic M2" pen and pencil.  Bladder seems good, but I can't guarantee a 60 year old bladder. Not returnable if inked.
